The best strategy to make a room bigger? Go white! We will always suggest a simple subway tile with our white shaker cabinets for a clean and open look even in the smaller spaces.
We also love the unconventional passthrough between the wall and double oven where the cooktop it easily accessible and not stuffed into a corner. The Hanstone Strato quartz countertop has been our favorite (other than it’s sister Hanstone Tranquility) for rooms with natural light, just like in our showroom on Phillips Highway. Add in some sleek new GE Profile appliances and a reverse osmosis dispenser and this kitchen looks like a million bucks, without costing it.
We didn’t put in the flooring or paint the walls but everything in between was completely replaced and updated. The appliances are GE’s new smudge-proof slate and the counter is Kolams quartz from WilsonArt. This is a brilliant representation of Wellborn Forests Arctic Shaker cabinets matched with a simple but detailed beveled white subway tile. Our favorite part is the simple herringbone embellishment behind the cooktop that creates the center symmetry of the u-shaped kitchen.
We love how bright and elegant the look is and they love all the new drawer and cabinet space!
Make sure you check out the accessories we added including a pullout spice rack next to the double oven and a hidden trash compartment with secondary recycling bin from Richelieu.
We also updated a nearby half bathroom while we were at it, its always nice to get a little extra done while you’re already at it!
