What Data We Collect & Why

Personal Data or Personal Information (PI) is information that relates to you, your household, or one of your devices.

Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family collects PI about you from various sources to provide our services and to manage our sites. Some data is provided by you. Other data is collected automatically.

Contact Information and Professional Information

We collect your contact information when you contact us by email, chat, telephone, or via a contact form. Because our customers are other businesses, we also collect professional information about you, specifically, the organization you work for. We use the information you provide to respond to your questions when you are performing due diligence on our software and services, to provide services when you become a customer, and to provide customer support. We occasionally send emails to market our own services.

We share this information as necessary for business operations with third party service providers in the following categories:

  • IT infrastructure providers

  • Business communication tools

  • Customer relationship management tools

  • Payment processors

  • Data analytics

In the past 12 months, we may have collected your information for sales and marketing purposes through a consumer data reseller.

Payment Information

When you pay for our software or services, you directly provide payment information to a payment processor who processes the transaction on our behalf.

Electronic Activity, Device Information, and Geolocation Information

We collect IP address (a form of geolocation information) and electronic activity (i.e. how you use our website), along with information about your device type and operating system when you visit our website. This information is collected on our behalf by third parties that provide services for data analytics and customer relationship management. We use this information to operate and improve our website.

Who We Share Data With

We do not and will not sell personal information.

Any data disclosed to third parties are necessary in order to deliver services, respond to inquiries, and improve the site and services. We share your data with third parties that provide services relating to critical business functions such as Sales & Marketing, Business Operations, Payment Processing, Customer Support, and core infrastructure for Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family software products.

If another company acquires Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family or all of our assets, that company will possess the same information, and will assume the rights and obligations with respect to that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain all customer records such as communication, signed contracts, and support tickets. Requests to fulfill rights as described below will be retained for at least 24 months.

Right to Know and Right to Portability

You may request the information we have collected about you. The right to access includes disclosure of:

  2. The categories of sources from which your personal information is collected

  3. The business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information

  4. The categories of third parties with whom we share your personal information

  5. The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you

We will provide this information directly to you in a portable format.

If you make a request more than twice a year, you may be required to pay a small fee for this service.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to request that Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

Right to Deletion or Erasure

You may exercise your right to deletion. We will delete any personal information that is not critical to the normal business operation of Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family from our records and direct all of our service providers to do the same.

We consider data to be critical to our business operation if they are used to:

  • Provide goods or services to you

  • Detect and resolve issues related to security or functionality

  • Comply with legal obligations

Other rights

You have the right to object to processing and restrict processing at Greystone Kitchens / Martin Appliance Family under certain circumstances. The easiest way to remove yourself from any direct marketing emails is to simply hit ‘unsubscribe’ on any email you have received from us.

Right to Non-Discrimination

Authorized Agent

You can do this by providing written permission to authorize an agent to act on your behalf; the agent will need to verify their identity with us. Agents authorized by power of attorney are exempt from having to provide written permission, but must show documentation that power of attorney has been granted.

We will deny a request from an agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.

Request Verification

Use the email address associated with the personal information we have collected about you to make your request. If you no longer have access to that email address, you will need to verify your identity through another piece of information we have collected about you, such as your phone number via SMS or voice call, or your address through mail.

If we cannot verify your identity, we cannot fulfill requests to exercise any rights accorded to you by CCPA or GDPR.
